Kris O’Neal is a self-taught artist from the Hampton Roads
area. Upon obtaining her Early Child
Development degree in 2010, Kris decided to combine her two passions, children
and photography. Specializing in children’s portraits, Kris made her way into
the photography realm. Though she still dabbles in portraiture, her
appreciation for the art, has initiated her to branch out to other genres.
Kris’s aesthetic images provide viewers a glimpse into her
erratic and nostalgic world, inviting all to share in the essence of a moment
that may have otherwise been overlooked.
As her photographs reveal, Kris’s subject matter is all-encompassing,
ranging from newborn portraiture to still life images.
Photography provides
Kris with the means to convey emotions that she finds inexpressible through
words. Being able to freeze a moment,
capture a detail or bring life to the most mundane of subjects, constantly
fuels her drive to create fine art.
Though fairly new to the field, Kris’s intuitive eye has
guided her in creating impressive photographs early in her career. Several of
